TokyoCalling first began as a platform for friends to exchange tips on food spots, accommodations and attractions in Tokyo that they found through shared experiences on social media. The list of recommendations grew so extensive that it became challenging to connect each recommendation with its original post. Remembering the tip or suggestion from that one video was impossible and would create a feeling of missing out when visiting many of these places.

TokyoCalling was created to connect these experiences with their respective places. This connection allows users to gain deeper insights from those who have already explored the city by providing that additional context. Whether it’s a local’s hidden gem or a travel influencer’s favorite spot, each recommendation is enhanced by first hand accounts that offer perspectives beyond a typical travel guide.
